The fact that we all have phones in our pockets and that most of us use them for everything, including viewing movies, gaming, and listening to music, is not unrelated. For better immersion, some of us might utilize wireless headphones or Bluetooth speakers, but most users are likely to prefer the simplicity of using their phone’s built-in speakers.
In 2021, the best phones with the best speakers will be available.
For this list, we compared the sound quality of current flagships side by side to find which ones are the most outstanding. So, without further ado, here are the finest smartphones with the best speakers available today.
This gaming phone boasts the greatest dual speakers on the market right now, they’re the loudest and have the best bass.
While the Pixel 4 XL shines in sound clarity, it falls short on bass.
The Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max boasts excellent audio clarity and a nice hint of bass.
Xiaomi’s flagship offers the remarkable sound quality, although stereo separation and bass are lacking.
Asus ROG Phone 5 series Asus ROG Phone 5 Pro and ROG Phone 5 produce such outstanding audio that it puts even tablets and some laptops to shame.
The ROG Phone 5 features dual front-firing speakers, meaning you get a true, wide stereo effect and the sound is aimed right at your face, as opposed to what you can expect from the single down-firing speaker most phones employ. The bass of the ROG Phone 5 is notably more present than on most phones even by default, but if you take advantage of the phone’s built-in music equalizer, you can boost the low-end further for even more impactful music.
Google appears to be regressing. While the new Pixel 5’s sound isn’t going to blow anyone away, even if it is clear and competent, the older Pixel 4 XL’s sound is rather amazing and is still miles ahead of what you’ll hear from most other smartphones.
The Pixel 4 XL earns the second-best slot on this list because of its capable down-firing speaker and a high-quality earpiece that doubles as a second speaker, offering a good stereo experience when used together.
Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max (Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max)
Apple’s MacBooks, iPads, and, of course, iPhones all have speakers that are considerably above average, so it’s no surprise that we have an Apple gadget in the top three here.
It was difficult to choose between the Pixel 4 XL and the iPhone 12 Pro Max for second place, but I believe most people would choose the Pixel 4 XL’s clarity over the iPhone 12 Pro Max’s punchier bass.
Because, while the sound on the iPhone 12 Pro Max is a little screechier in the higher frequencies, which causes me to deduct some clarity points, it has likely the second most punchy bass behind the ROG Phone 5.
