The OnePlus Nord 2 was released as a sequel to the OnePlus Nord. The OnePlus Nord was an important smartphone for OnePlus since it offered users a low-cost option. The new OnePlus Nord 2 starts at Rs 27,999, which is a little more than the original Nord’s base price, but it’s now priced higher than the far more affordable Nord CE 5G.

The new OnePlus Nord 2 starts at Rs 27,999, which is a little more than the original Nord’s base price, but it’s now priced higher than the far more affordable Nord CE 5G. It boasts higher-resolution cameras, a more powerful SoC with a 5G connection, and stereo audio. Is this new phone a worthy successor to the OnePlus Nord, or does it fall short of the same level of value?

In India, the price of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G

In India, this smartphone starts at Rs. 27,999 for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

There’s also an 8GB RAM, 128GB storage option for Rs. 29,999, and a top-of-the-line option with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage for Rs. 34,999. The OnePlus Nord 2 comes in three colors: Blue Haze, Gray Sierra, and Green-Wood, which is only available in India.

Design of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G

The OnePlus Nord 2 5G has a familiar appearance, similar to the OnePlus 9-series devices. It sports a large 6.43-inch display with a hole-punch digital camera in the upper left corner. The bezels on the panel are thin, and only the chin is slightly thicker.

For the Nord 2, OnePlus has gone for glass once again, giving it a premium feel and appearance. Both the back and front of the phone are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The back glass curls in the direction of the perimeters where it joins the body, making the device easy to hold.

Although the mid-frame has composed of plastic, it does not have a cheap feel to it. The location of the buttons is decent, with the ability button on the right and the amount buttons on the left. When holding the device in one hand, these are straightforward to strike.

More information

OnePlus has chosen glass for the Nord 2, offering it a premium feel and aesthetic. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects both the back and front of the phone. The device is easy to handle since the rear glass bends in the direction of the perimeters where it joins the body.

Despite being made of plastic, the mid-frame does not have a cheap feel to it. With the ability button on the right and the amount buttons on the left, the button placement seems reasonable. These are simple to hit with one hand while holding the gadget.

Although the mid-frame has composed of plastic, it does not have a cheap feel to it. The location of the buttons is decent, with the ability button on the right and the amount buttons on the left. When holding the device in one hand, these are easy to hit. The notification slider, which has seen on most OnePlus smartphones, is located on the right, just above the power button. It makes it simple to switch between ringer modes.

The selfie camera on the Nord 2 is 32 megapixels.

The Nord 2 lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, similar to the OnePlus Nord (Review), while the more affordable OnePlus Nord CE 5G (Review) has. The USB Type-C connector is located next to the dual-SIM tray on the backside. The secondary microphone is only on the top of the body. The OnePlus Nord 2 lacks an IP ranking, which is present on other phones in this section such as the Samsung Galaxy A52 (Review) and Poco F3 GT.

On the back, the digital camera module has located in the upper left corner and has three sensors. Two of them appear to have much larger lenses, akin to the OnePlus 9R. (Review). When placed on a flat surface, this module protrudes slightly, causing the smartphone to shake. The OnePlus Nord 2 has a 4,500mAh battery and weighs 189 grams. A Warp Charge 65W charger does include in the field to quickly charge the battery. My test unit was Haze Blue, and the end did a fantastic job of masking fingerprints. In addition, the OnePlus includes a case in the box to protect the device.

Specifications of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G

This amazing has a Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It also has a fingerprint scanner built into the display that is conveniently located and simple to use. This phone has powered by OnePlus’ MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. The company claims to collaborate on the CPU with MediaTek to improve its AI capabilities by Density 1200-AI.

The OnePlus Nord 2 comes with 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, as well as 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. For my review, I used the top-of-the-line model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Nord 2’s storage isn’t extendable. Dual 5G, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and five satellite navigation systems are all supported. The OnePlus Nord 2 has two Nano-SIM slots and is a dual-SIM device.
