Carl Pei’s company, "One Plus," launched in 2014, eventually went on to become one of the leading smartphone manufacturers to launch their product in the country. The brand has its own way of expanding its customer base, launching a new phone almost every year, making it one of the leading device makers in the market. One plus 10T 5G promises to go above and beyond your expectations, all while keeping your wallet intact. If you're looking to upgrade from an old One Plus device or want a phone to fulfil all your tech thirst, then this device is a must for you. Let’s find out the reasons why.
Well, to begin with, one of the disappointments as a personal one-plus fan and a user myself, is that they have removed the alert slider, which used to be of great use for people who toggled between different alert setups according to their own convenience. The company claims that the removal was crucial for installing major circuits and antennas for improving network connections. There are two colour variants of the phone available on the market now. Moonstone Black & Jade Green. Both the colours have their own charms, although the grip is pretty strong and doesn’t let the phone slip through your fingers when you hold it. Moonstone Black, being a darker shade in nature, is not as appealing or shiny as Jade Green, which looks amazing, is much glossier, and is definitely a fingerprint magnet. The camera platform is so perfectly embedded into the glass rear body that it's impossible to notice any rise in the camera module with the naked eye at all. The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 technology that protects the front and the rear from any hard impact or damage. It weighs only 204g with a thickness of 8.76mm. The body is made of hard plastic, despite being a premium phone. The power button is placed on the right and the volume rocker is on the left. There is a USB-Type C slot and a dual nano-sim slot at the bottom of the device. All the new premium One Plus phones now come with inbuilt fingerprint sensors on the display itself, and this device too is no exception. Although there is no protection from dust or rain, the device receives the same kind of sealing as the One Plus 9, so it is not a major concern.
This phone is all about speed and performance. Thanks to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen, that helps in the all-around performance of the device, bringing in a lot of improvements in areas like battery optimization, connectivity, and display. The device gets a much-needed 15 antenna setup that would help with better telecommunication and wi-fi connectivity. This is one of the reasons the alert button was removed, as we discussed earlier. This beast derives its energy from one prime Cortex-X2 core that goes up to 3.2GHz, three big Cortex-A710 cores and four small Cortex-A510 Qualcomm processors. It can be very well seen that the company is slowly trying to attract more and more customers in this arena, and surely, they won't be disappointed. There are almost no heating issues. The device definitely heats, but to a very minimal amount while playing heavy games.
It comes with a super VOOC Endurance Edition charger and a massive 4800mAh battery life. The charger is a regular USB-PB version that supports 45W with 150W of superfast charging. The brand claims the battery to last 26+hrs per full charge and is working more to improve optimization, better voltage and temperature control, which we, as customers, will get to see in the upcoming One Plus devices.
On paper and in reality, the phone outshines all our expectations. In this category, the One Plus 10t / 5g stands out. No matter how much work you do and change between 7-8 apps or screens running in the background, it would let you know a bit about it. No lags or delays have been noticed. The display chunks out an amazing AMOLED display with 10 bits of the truest in-depth colour visualization and 950 nits of brightness that doesn’t let you miss those details even when you are in broad daylight under the sun. Also, it packs a 50MP wide-angle lens with PDAF and OIS, along with another 8MP and 2MP ultrawide and macro lens. All in one a 6.7-inch full HD+ 1080*2412 pixel display with a 120Hz ratio. The colours might be too bright for someone, but that can be easily taken care of in the settings.
The phone comes in three different RAM and storage configurations, and their prices have been fixed accordingly.
It is worthy of an upgrade with such great features as the battery and camera with improved SoC, Who wouldn’t like to grab a deal like this? Well, there are definitely some grey areas on which the company needs to work, but for the time being, let's enjoy the device and hope for the best from the upcoming One Plus for some more improvements in the future.
