Huawei unveiled the P50 and P50 Pro smartphones, the latest generation of its P-series series smartphones, at a special event in China today. The company’s own HarmonyOS 2 mobile operating system runs these newly released smartphones, which feature a novel and unusual pill-shaped camera design. Another intriguing feature of Huawei’s P50 handsets is that they are equipped with both the company’s Kirin 9000 chipset (P50) and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 5G chipset (P50 Pro).
Cocoa Gold, Charm Pink, Dynamic Sky Blue, Golden Black, and Pearl White are the colour options for the Huawei P50 Pro.
The Huawei P50 Pro will also come with a Kirin 9000 processor, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. One model costs CNY 7,988 (about 91,800), while the other costs CNY 8,488 (approximately 97,500). It will be available for purchase in September of this year.
In September, the Huawei P50 will be available in Cocoa Gold, Charm Pink, Golden Black, and Pearl White colour variations for CNY 4,488 (about 51,600) for the 8GB+128GB variant and CNY 4,988 (approximately 57,300) for the 8GB+256GB variant.
The Huawei P50 Pro has a 6.6-inch full-HD+ OLED curved display with a resolution of 1228×2700 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It has Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 9000 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoCs. It has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. At the back, it boasts a quad-camera arrangement with a 50MP primary colour camera. Along with it is a 40MP monochrome lens, a 13MP wide-angle lens, and a 64MP telephoto lens. It includes a 13MP selfie camera on the front. The Huawei P50 Pro is powered by a 4,360mAh battery. It has 66W Wired Super Fast Charging and 50W Wireless Super Fast Charging. It runs on Harmony OS 2.
The Huawei P50 has a 6.5-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1224×2700 pixels and a screen refresh rate of up to 90Hz. It has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC, which comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It runs HarmonyOS 2 and has a triple rear camera configuration with a 50MP main sensor. A 13MP secondary sensor, and a 12MP telephoto lens. It includes a 13MP selfie camera on the front. A 4,100mAh battery powers it, and it supports 66W Wired Super Fast Charging technology.
